Modern common rail systems need a little extra care and attention to prevent minor faults becoming big bills. We sell a range of products designed to help you care for your diesel engine.
Fuel Treatments, Catch Cans & Pre-Filters
Modern common-rail diesels are tough, but they're fussy about what goes through them. Low-sulphur diesel doesn't lubricate as well as it used to, remote fill-ups can bring water and dirt into the tank, and the factory breather feeds oily vapour straight back into the intake, where it bakes into carbon sludge. The Flashlube range deals with each of these:
- Fuel treatments: Diesel Conditioner puts back lubricity and keeps injectors clean. Winter Fuel Formula stops diesel waxing on frosty mornings and alpine trips. Injector Cleaner is for petrol engines, and the Heavy Duty Oil Stabiliser helps hard-working and older engines.
- Catch Can Pro: a vehicle-specific kit that bolts in and catches oil before it reaches your intake, EGR and intercooler. It has a drain tap and a replaceable element, so servicing is easy.
- Diesel Pre-Filter: adds a second filter and water separator ahead of the factory filter. It's cheap insurance for expensive injectors and pumps, especially if you're filling up from drums or out-of-the-way stations.
- AdBlue: for late-model diesels with SCR systems. Keep a spare in the tray so you're never stuck in limp mode.
