ECU-SHOP started in Chiang Mai, Thailand in the early 2000s, when founder Ponpoj "Ar" Wannapinyo began building his own piggyback ECUs. Today the company designs and manufactures tunable diesel ECUs, throttle response controllers and EGR delete cables in an ISO-accredited factory with over 130 full-time staff, and works directly with Ford and Toyota in Thailand, where almost all of the utes sold new in New Zealand are built.
